Carnival Cruise Lines is offering several new sailing round-trip from
New York on its newest "Fun Ship," the 88,500-ton, 2,124-passenger
Carnival Legend and the 102,000-ton, 2,758-passenger Carnival
Victory. This will include unique eight-day sailings round-trip from
New York on the Carnival Legend to the Caribbean. This will be
the first time Carnival has operated round-trip Caribbean cruises from New
York, which is a geographically convenient departure point for a huge
percentage of the U.S. population, as well as one of the country's top
tourist destinations.
The new itinerary, which will be offered from May 13 to October 12,
2003, is the only Caribbean cruise scheduled round-trip from New York and
will include San Juan, St. Thomas/St. John, Tortola and Virgin Gorda. The
unusual eight-day rotation creates a wide range of days of the week on
which voyages will depart and return, providing maximum choice and
flexibility for guests. It will also frequently place the Carnival
Legend in Caribbean ports on less congested days, enhancing the
shoreside experience.
These new Caribbean cruises from New York will supplement the line's
popular summer-long four- and five-day round-trip Canada cruises from New
York. These seven-day fall foliage sailings on the Carnival Victory,
are from June 23 to September 1, 2003.
